Atle H. Carlsen appointed new managing partner in law firm Brækhus
Brækhus is very pleased to have appointed as new managing partner one of the best and most experienced leaders available in the Norwegian law firm market.
Atle comes with values to us that we share and he also shares our ambition to become an even stronger player in providing legal services in Norway. Atle is a team builder who will now use all his time and all his experience with us in Brækhus, says Stein E. Hove on behalf of the board of Brækhus.
Atle joins from the position as CEO at law firm Selmer and has previously held several management roles at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).
Brækhus will be one of very few Norwegian law firms where the position of managing partner is held by a full-time professional leader who is not a lawyer. When Atle joins as managing partner, he also becomes a partner in the law firm, and will thus be treated equally with the rest of the partners in the firm.
-Our ambition is to become an even stronger player in a rapidly developing legal industry in Norway. A corner stone of our firm strategy is providing the best customer experience. This primarily requires skilled, motivated and committed employees. We want to attract, develop and retain the most talented lawyers in the market so that our clients receive tailored, specialized, high-end advice at all times. Atle will assist us in strengthening our current commercial position through a value-based management style. With him on board, we do have great expectations for the future of the law firm, says Brækhus chairman Christoph Morck.
Brækhus has been led by Frank C. Aase for the last 4 years. He will, as requested, return to his role as a partner in Brækhus, and have full focus on the further development of our practice in restructuring, insolvency, board liability and banking and finance. Frank has been at the forefront of a very positive development of the firm. We thank Frank for an enthusiastic and skilled leadership resulting in that development.
