Christina Østby Holtar works with national and international personal income tax and social security, as well as on international taxation. Since 2010, Christina has been working with issues of global mobility and is an advisor for Norwegian and foreign companies operating in Norway that regularly send employees in and out of Norway. She assists foreign companies with activities in several countries with compliance and management of taxes, social security and other related topics that arise when businesses and employees move across country borders. She also assists private persons with tax returns, appeals, avoidance of double taxation, emigration and clarification of social security issues. In addition, she regularly advises companies and individuals on employment law matters.

Christina has previously worked in both the public and private sector. As a tax lawyer for the Norwegian Tax Administration’s former division for international cases, as well as the company Skatt Øst, she primarily worked with issues pertaining to residence, including tax agreements, emigration, commuting, appeals for international cases, as well as tax assessments and control. Later, she worked in areas of international taxation, social security, pension and adjacent areas, as well as general business law.

Christina also has project management experience from coordinating and structuring global projects for international companies with involvement from advisors from many different countries.
